'We have an obligation to keep the public safe, let's do it together'....Team BK3
BK3 Training Limited is currently based in the United Kingdom, we were established in 2002 as a 'Sole Trader' and then a Limited Company in 2005 and at present we provide Signalling Training to all the major Resourcing companies within the UK and are the preferred supplier to many within Transport for London (TFL / London Underground).
Training Projects: In 2002 we were awarded our first ever major contract to conduct Overhead Line Training for Amey Rail, the courses were comprised of Courses such as Authorised and Nominated Persons to name a few. After the sudden passing of our OLE Senior Trainer, George Rogerson in 2006, we decided to close the OLE Training department within BK3 as a sign of respect for George who was revered by many as the best within his profession.
Like many others, during 2007 / 2008, the recession hit us hard, but through shear determination and a little assistance from 'friends' we were able to 'weather the storm' and navigate our way through, what we consider, our most difficult period. In early 2008 we were approached by THALES UK to conduct 3 x Bespoke Basic Signalling Courses, we continued to conduct signalling courses for them over the following years, further from this very small project we were invited by Mouchel Parkman, the then preferred supplier for the THALES JNUP project, to conduct numerous courses ranging from Basic Signalling to Signal Works Testing Module 3bL Functional Testers for their staff, a short time after completion we were again approached by Mouchel Parkman to write up a bespoke AzLM Axle Counter / Loop Course which was conducted by BK3 for all their staff working on the JNUP Project, for this project, approval was sought after by Mouchel Parkman, from and approved by THALES UK. In December 2009 Transport for London approached us to conduct 29 x ClampLock and HW1000 Points Courses, which we completed in March 2010, with the client being impressed by our commitment and technical approach we were asked, in June 2010, to develop and further conduct 28 x BB06 Stretcher Bar Courses for their staff.
After the success of the above courses, in January 2011 we were requested to conduct 19 x 2 week Maintenance Courses for another department within Transport for London after their original training provider failed to delivery their courses to the standard required. We, at BK3, redesigned the course and delivered it as required to a level appreciated by those within TFL. In September 2013 we, along with our competitors, were invited to Tender for 26 Signal Works Testing Courses within TFL, the courses were Module 5 Test Assistant, Module 3C Verification Tester and Module 3bL Functional Tester Courses. BK3 were named the preferred supplier and were awarded this contract based on both our, I quote, ‘Commercial and Technical proposal’, included in this contract we were requested to design and build a small, yet efficient, Training school to cater for said courses…this project began in January 2014 with the courses starting in December 2014 and we have, thus far, conducted 14 courses.
In 2016 we were officially awarded the Framework, by SPX Flow, to be their preferred training provider for their new In-Bearer Clamp-Lock MK3 System, to-date we have conducted both Initial and Conversion Courses for Network Rail and the majority of Labour Agencies across the United Kingdom and are scheduled to conduct a further 24 IBCL MK3 Courses between March - September 2022 for NWR Nationwide, we have also been assisting Network Rail Training Centres in Walsall, Bristol and Larbert with Signal Technical Training since July 2021. We currently conduct Signalling Courses for all the major Rail Companies and are approved with Network Rail, Transport For London and approval with RISQS.
We conduct a wide variety of Signalling Courses. (Click the link below to see more)
